Josef Laufer

A charismatic singer, actor and presenter with an unmistakable voice, he was one of the prominent figures on the Czechoslovak scene from the 1960s onward. He was born in France, spent his childhood in Britain and, after moving to Prague, built a career in theatre, television and popular music. Songs such as “Sbohem, lásko” made him a lasting star who retained his elegance, charm and perspective for decades.
