Jan Amos Komenský

28. 3. 1592 – 15. 11. 1670

He was one of the greatest Czech thinkers and rightly earned the nickname “Teacher of Nations.” Throughout his life, he sought better ways of educating people, and his pioneering works on education influenced schooling across Europe. He believed in the power of reason, humanity, and education for all without distinction. His legacy lives on today in the ideal of lifelong learning and in the desire to understand the world.
