Carl von Clausewitz

A Prussian general and exceptionally influential military theorist who fundamentally transformed modern strategic thinking with his book On War. He became famous for the thesis that war is a continuation of politics by other means, and for capturing the chaos, “friction,” and unpredictability of the battlefield with unusual sobriety.
